   The Carpinteria Valley Museum of History provides a fascinating glimpse into the Valley’s past. A variety of unique exhibits examine the three major cultures that made this valley their home. The three cultural periods: the Chumash Indians, Mexican Rancho and American Pioneers.
    The Carpinteria Valley Historical Society, a nonprofit educational organization, created, maintains, and operates the Museum and research library.
    The Society is dedicated to collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit objects of historical significance related to the Valley.
