I'm back in California for Christmas and am playing a very, very special show for you! I can't wait to share this night with you :) It would mean the world if you were a part of an incredible and one of a kind experience. I can't reveal all the secrets just yet, but the project will soon be plastered all over the internet. Intel (they create those mysterious things that make our computers run) will be bringing their camera crews to the world's best musical home, Zoey's, for my show!! Joining me on stage will be two of the best musicians I know, Joe Baugh on Electric Guitar and Sam Bolle on Upright Bass. I may even throw in a Christmas tune or New Years Eve song (hint, hint) Of course the night would not be complete without the lovely and talented Jaime Drake. Love and miss you guys! xoxx, Delaney http://www.delaneygibson.com/  Website

8/16 - Recently back from a tour with Styx and Yes- Shane plays Zoeys 8/19

Recently back from a very exciting and successful dream tour with STYX and YES we gladly welcome him home to Zoey's. I'm sure we'll hear some funny road stories along with him sharing a few new tunes. Shane always puts on a great show. Mono Solo, the fourth album from Shane Alexander promises to be something special. The new collection marks a quantum leap for the Los Angeles based solo artist, both in songwriting and in production. "I really wanted to stretch out this time around, " Alexander says, "there are even two instrumentals and a 55-second song. I went in with an 'anything goes' approach and I'm thrilled with the result.... My goal has always been to write music that connects on a spiritual level the way classic writers like Neil Young, Paul Simon, and Bruce Springsteen do. I don't know that I'll get there, but I'm definitely getting closer." The album was produced by Billy Mohler, who co-produced Stargazer (2006) and The Sky Below (2008). All of the songs on Mono Solo are filled with honesty and life experience. Inspired by stories Shane picked up while touring the U.S. and Europe, seeing the effect of the economic crisis on those around him, and the tragic death of a life-long friend, each track conveys a sense of reverence for life, love, and stability. Nearly all of the songs from The Sky Below, Stargazer, and The Middle Way (2005) have been licensed for television - exposing Shane's songs to millions worldwide. In addition to his own runs in the U.S., Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, and Belgium, Shane Alexander performed for the biggest audiences of his career when he opened Seal's U.S. tour in 2008. In 2006-2007, Alexander toured constantly and was asked to open two U.S. tours with Jewel. Armed only with an acoustic guitar, he won over thousands of new fans night after night. ----- Jon Swift - Born in New York, Jon grew up in a surf town in North County San Diego. He began making music as a boy, sneaking into his neighbors' house while they were away to play their piano. Over the years Jon taught himself to play several other instruments, including guitar, harmonica, ukulele, mandolin and banjo. Jon's homemade four-track recordings became the inspiration for the 2001 release of "15 Song...s by Jon Swift" a compilation of his works dating back to as early as 1993.   2/8 - Save the Date!! AMY KUNEY & BAND CD RELEASE

When I was 13 years old, my dad was ‘called’ to be a missionary in Honduras. As a family, we weren’t ‘cut out’ for the mission field – I had no idea my world was about to be kicked over on its side. One moment I was busy doing homework and planning slumber parties, the next moment I suddenly found myself in a third world country recovering from a hurricane. I went into culture shock as the poverty, disease, and the idea that human life isn’t so precious in other parts of the world… slowly seeped in. Most children grow up in ‘phases’ – I was given no time for that. I took on the mental weight of an adult the moment I stepped out of that tiny TACA airplane… and into the rest of my life. In fact, the only evidence that I even had a childhood exists in a black 32×17 Rubbermaid trunk. I bought the trunk to protect my books, CDs, and photo albums from the Honduran heat and humidity. Today, I keep the trunk in my closet. It contains stacks of letters from my 8th grade Sunday school class… wishing me well, wishing me luck. It contains letters I wrote to myself… promising myself I would get out alive. It contains the jewelry I wore the day I was kidnapped… the photographs that were taken minutes before it happened, photographs of a dear friend who gave his life so that I could live. It contains fragments of a life that I shut away until now… When I began writing for this album, I opened the trunk for the first time in years. The overwhelming smell of dark mahogany, coffee, and burning sugarcane (the smell of Honduras) hit me like a wall, and I knew that all the memories I’d stifled were begging to be brought to life. I also knew that I was being presented with a choice: I could let these memories, and the experiences that they represent, cuff me, paralyze me, and make me bitter… or I could turn them into something beautiful… something that other people could relate to and, hopefully, find comfort in. This is my gift. I’m calling my album “ONYX” for a number of personal reasons… one being that it’s a stone, a stone that helps to deflect negative energy and helps us to balance and control our emotions. I feel certain that we do not have control over what happens to us, but we DO have control over how it affects us. We can choose to be the victim of our circumstances, or we can choose to use our circumstances as fuel to rise above. I can’t give a date for when ONYX will be released, but every day I’m getting closer. I thank you all for your patience, love   Website

3 Course Gourmet meal and 2 GREAT BANDS! Brother Sal - Saloon gospel rock. A Zoey's favorite. He's opened for Paul Thorn and also blew us away at the Shades of Day CD Release. A staple of the Hotel Cafe and other premier venues up and down the coast. He puts on a great show and plays a mean piano. What more can we say? He's pretty amazing. www.myspace.com/thebrothersal Brian Wright-There are musicians in America now who have taken off for unexplored territory, land once staked out by the greats from our past: Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and other less-famous names. These new songwriters aren't there to grab headlines or fill the pages of meaningless magazines. They are there to write and sing their songs, living words that come to them sometimes in a hurry and sometimes in a haze. And at a time when the music business itself seems lost in a spiraling fog of self-declared importance and self-fulfilling decay, these new singers are actually saviors of the sounds we love so much.
