Year Founded: 1982 Description: Longoria Wines was established in 1982, by Rick and Diana Longoria. Rick Longoria has a long history of involvement with the Santa Barbara County wine industry dating back to 1976. After many years of making wine for other wineries, Rick decided to devote his full attention to producing Longoria wines in 1997. In 1998 he became the first winemaker to establish a winery in the city of Lompoc. That same year, the couple opened their tasting room in one of the oldest buildings in downtown Los Olivos. The tasting room includes a beautiful patio and garden area where guests may picnic while enjoying Longoria wine. Longoria wines are handcrafted from grapes grown in some of the most sought after vineyard sites in Santa Barbara County, including their own estate vineyard, Fe Ciega, in the Santa Rita Hills viticultural area. Longoria wines consistently garner awards and critical acclaim each year. Total production currently averages 3,500 cases annually, with plans to grow to about 5,000 cases within the next few years. This is a must stop destination for connoisseurs.
