Don't miss the Folk Reunion with The Kingston Trio & John Sebastian
Posted: 11/7/17
Musical legends The Kingston Trio and John Sebastian are booking more gigs than ever, a sign of the boomer generation’s return to acoustic music. In 1957, The Kingston Trio put a new twist on dormant folk music and quickly became part of an immensely popular “folk revival.” The Kingston Trio’s use of acoustic guitars, banjos, and three-part harmony can be heard in their hits “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” and “in their #1 Grammy winning song “Tom Dooley.” John Sebastian and his group The Lovin’ Spoonful played a major role in the mid-’60s rock revolution. Known for such hits as “Do You Believe in Magic,” “Daydream,” “Summer in the City,” and “Six O-Clock,” they have become a permanent part of our American musical fabric. ...
