    Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein
Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley CA
> DETAILS
> HIDE
It's alive! Mel Brooks' Broadway hit based on his hilarious 1974 movie comedy reunites him with the creative team that turned The Producers into a smash. This successful musical version of the story follows young Dr. Frankenstein (or as he prefers, "Fron-ken-shteen") as he attempts to complete his grandfather's work by bringing a corpse to life. He's aided, supposedly, by the hunchbacked, bulging-eyed Igor, his beautiful lab assistant, Inga, and an eccentric and frightening housekeeper, Frau Blucher. This Ventura County Premier production is bound to induce monstrous amounts of laughter with catchy tunes like "Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz." YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN plays April 19 - May 25, Fri & Sat at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $24 Adults, $20 Seniors & Students and $18 Children and can be reserved by calling (805) 583-7900.   ($18.00 - $24.00)
