   Due to the enthusiastic response, we are pleased to announce that we will be adding a number of screenings that will be shown in Farrand Hall, giving more people in the community an opportunity to experience Paul Goldsmith’s film about Juana Maria and her time on San Nicolas Island.
   The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History is proud to show The Lone Woman of San Nicolas Island, a new documentary by filmmaker Paul Goldsmith. This film, inspired by the acclaimed novel by Scott O’Dell, Island of the Blue Dolphins, is based on the true story of Juana Maria, the name given to a Native American woman who was left alone for 18 years on San Nicolas Island during the 19th century.
   Run time: 60 minutes Age Appropriateness: General audiences. Not recommended for children under 10.
