7th Annual Art Career Day Conference
This event has expired

(Always Call to Verify Dates & Times)
Art Without Limits, in collaboration with other Tri Counties organizations, will present the 7th Art Career Day Conference (ACDC) on Saturday, April 29th at SB City College's Fe Bland Forum! ACDC was created with the vision of giving young artists the confidence to pursue a career in the arts. This year, we are expanding our outreach to include young artists in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet, dialogue, ask questions and, very importantly, be listened to by over 50 professional artists of all genres. The day consists of presentations, performances by young artists, and the opportunity to participate in 3 Roundtable Discussions out of 15 offered in a variety of art forms and led by professionals. A complimentary lunch is served, including McConnell's ice cream! Aspiring artists of all ages are welcome. The conference is free for 13 to 25 year old artists. A $25 donation is requested for attendees over the age of 25.
Rona Barrett will be the conference's Keynote Speaker this year! Rona is a pioneering entertainment reporter, commentator and producer with a career spanning more than 30 years. She has blazed the trail for women in the media industry. Chief Curator of the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture, Maiza Hixson, will be the Emcee of the 7th ACDC. Renowned local photographer, David Bazemore, will lead the Roundtable Discussion on Photography. Director, writer, producer and author, Mitchell Kriegman, will lead the Roundtable on Animation. Artist and educator, BiJian Fan, will give a presentation about STEAM and lead the Roundtable Discussion on Sculpture & Installation.
To present ACDC, Art Without Limits collaborates with the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts & Culture, SB County Education Department, SBCC Theatre Department, SBHS Visual Arts & Design Academy, SB Teen Star, Dug Uyesaka, Melissa Johnson and many others. This is your opportunity to learn from the people who are living your dream! Registration is now open. There are still opportunities to volunteer for ACDC! Register at:
