The performances range from scripted readings to storytelling. Stories of love, family, loss and adventure, lots of adventures. Everything from refugees fleeing Vietnam to a “commando” trip to an ex’s wedding, your Santa Barbara neighbors have some wonderful stories to share! Directed by: Cliff Lambert Endowment For Youth Committee (EYC) is presenting to the Santa Barbara Community at large a Tribute to Maya Angelou. A depiction of some of her works (poetry) that speaks to the issues of: Race, inclusion, inequality, Freedom and Justice. The Tribute to Maya Angelou will be a poetry reading contest for Santa Barbara County High School Students to compete for $1,000.00 in cash prizes. There were a few scattered showers today but seas were calm and enabled the Condor Express to take a great tour of our region of the Santa Barbara Channel. Captain Dave and his crew were back on the water after a few weeks in the boat yard undergoing their required USCG inspections and other normal maintenance. One gray whale, 300 long-beaked common dolphins and a lot of very active hot spots full of life were recorded.
