April 28, 2017 — Graduating seniors nominated for honors by the CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI) faculty will be recognized and presented with awards at the 2017 Honors Convocation Saturday, May 13 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the John Spoor Broome Library Plaza. 4/27 - Executive producer of HBO’s “Girls” is keynote speaker at CSUCI’s SAGE Research Conference ... April 27, 2017 — Producer/screenwriter/cartoonist Bruce Eric Kaplan will be the keynote speaker at the 9th Annual SAGE Student Research Conference on May 6 at CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI). Kaplan, also known as BEK, has worked on NBC’s “Seinfeld,” HBO’s “Six Feet Under” and is currently the executive producer for HBO’s “Girls.” His trademark single-panel cartoons, known for their ironic humor, frequently appear in The New Yorker and he has written seven books for adults and three for children, his latest, a memoir called “I Was a Child.”...

April 27, 2017 — Lizard people, adaptive dance, African drumming, theatrical monologues and musical ensembles are only some of the 14 different performances at CSU Channel Islands’ (CSUCI) “Arts Under the Stars” scheduled for Friday, May 5 on the lawn outside of El Dorado Hall.
