7/2 - Save the Date! Little Mermaid Meet and Greet at the Wildling -- 7/4 ... In conjunction with the Wildling's underwater photography show by Santa Barbara's own Richard Salas, there will be a free Meet and Greet with Ariel from the Little Mermaid courtesy of Teas in Tiaras on the 4th of July from noon to 2 p.m. Come to Solvang to enjoy the parade and then follow the Little Mermaid to the Wildling! Make a jellyfish, take your picture with Ariel and see the Salas exhibition!

6/24 - New Board Member at the S.B. Botanic Garden ... The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is pleased to announce THOMAS CRAVEIRO has joined the Board of Trustees. Craveiro is retired after thirty years in construction management and architectural design in the United States, Middle East and Africa, including work for the United Nations and United Sates Agency for International Development.
Craveiro brings to the Board many years of experience with volunteers, including work with Peace Corps, International Rescue Committee and Hospice. He earned a Master of Science, Architectural Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science, from the University of California, Berkeley.

6/16 - WOW! Save the Date! SB Blues Society presents Debbie Davies -- Julie 25th ... The Santa Barbara Blues Society, the oldest existing U.S. blues society, founded in March 1977, is proud to present Debbie Davies. A native of Los Angeles and daughter of professional musicians, Davies fell in love with the electric guitar after she heard Eric Clapton play with John Mayall's band. After a stint with rock bands in the Bay Area, she became lead guitarist in the band of Mayall's wife Maggie and then hit the really big time as guitarist in the band of the legendary Albert Collins. For the last 20 years Debbie has led her own band, and delivered multiple highly-praised albums. She has been nominated many times for Blues Music Awards, and twice won for Best Contemporary Female Blues Artist.

5/28 - Save the Date! S.B Jazz Society presents Les McCann and his band -- June 14 at SOhO ... The Santa Barbara Jazz Society is proud to present legendary jazz star Les McCann and his band at SOhO on June 14 at 1pm. A keyboardist and singer, McCann gained prominence in the '60s with his jazz and soul fusion. He is back with a star studded group featuring vocalist Lee Hartley and Santa Barbara’s own super star trumpeter Jeff Elliott, who toured with the McCann band in the 1980s. Rounding out the band are John Chiodini on guitar, drummer Enzio Todesco, Abraham Loboriel Sr. on bass and coming from New York, pianist Joe Alterman.
This extraordinary event is brought to Santa Barbara through the generosity of the Jazz Society’s Ambassador at Large, Peter Clark.
