11/19 - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Canyon Club -- 11/19 ... 2014 marked the 21st Anniversary of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s remarkable arrival onto the music scene. During the band’s first years, having secured their legendary residency at The Brown Derby nightclub in Los Angeles, the reminded the world, in the middle of the grunge era, that it was still cool to swing, big band style. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's irresistible live show and aggressive, musically perceptive approach has proven them over time to be the singular standout among the 90's swing revival. The high energy nine man group continues the party with their massively successful fusion of classic American sounds from jazz, swing, Dixieland, and big band music.

Jonny Lang started playing guitar at the age of 12, released his first album at the age of 14, and has gone on to become a world renown, Grammy winning guitarist. In his more than a dozen years on the road, Lang has toured with The Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, Aerosmith, BB King, Blues Traveler, Jeff Beck and Sting. He has five albums that charted on the Top 50 of the Billboard 200 chart, and won a Grammy Award for Turn Around. His newest release, Fight For My Soul, is available now.

10/16 - Aussie female guitar virtuoso Orianthi ... Sunday at The Canyon Club ... Aussie female guitar virtuoso Orianthi was first discovered by Carlos Santana at the tender age of 14. Since then she has been mentored by her idol, Steve Vai, signed a recording contract with a major record label, released the platinum single “According To You,” which was a worldwide hit, has appeared on stage with Carrie Underwood, was invited to be a part of Michael Jackson’s ill-fated “This Is It” concert series, work with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), and more.
